Amy Ziebarth

Amy Ziebarth joined the SEEDS team in 1995 and assumed the role of Executive Director in 1998. Amy has written about the need for educational opportunities for disadvantaged students in the New York Times and has appeared on CNN and other news programs. She was the recipient of the 2001 Delbarton School Educator of the Year Award, the 2003 Althea Gibson Award for Excellence in Public Service, and the 2005 Kent Place Alumna Professional Achievement Award. Under her leadership, SEEDS has more than doubled in size and launched several new programs including the Young Scholars Program, the Parents Program, the Alumni Program, and the College Preparatory Program. The organization completed a $3 million capital campaign in 2004. Prior to SEEDS, Amy served as the Director of Financial Aid and Admissions at the Kent Place School in Summit where she also taught American History and Russian studies. Amy holds a B.A. from Colgate University and a Masters in American Studies from Drew University aziebarth@njseeds.org
